Sometimes my designs become very literal... this table top picture frame, for example. The first glass that caught my eye was this wonderful blue green splotches (for lack of a better phrase) on a white background stained glass. The design grew from there and flames of pale blue, Kelly green and light cobalt blue and white on clear wispy glass flowing literally from the blue/green/white flame.
The photo area measures 4" x 6". The glass does swoop into the frame area so your image can to be trimmed so as to not peak thru the glass depending upon the darkness of your image. The photo pictured was trimmed. The frame back or photo of my grandson can be used as a template to trim your photo. The frame measures 6.26" x 8" at its widest points.
It is constructed using the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder is polished in its natural silverish state. Short lengths of zinc came are soldered to the back of the frame holding the frame back in place.
As with any item in my shop, if you like the design but would rather see it in a different size or color combination, let me know. We can hand craft one just for you in my workshop in Chalfont, PA.
