Just a sampling of my custom works

Wind Blown. This tryptic three panel stained glass window piece depicts a wind blown willow tree with various color leaves. The background glass is a clear texture “raindrop” flowing sideways and at all angles as if the wind is blowing the rain and branches.

Four Seasons represented in a stained glass window panel. This abstract stained glass panel measures 35.25" wide by 18" tall. It features a twisted tree trunk. Created in the copper foil method, the solder lines and zinc came frame are treated with black patina and polished to a shine. Additional reinforcement is soldered into the seams to add strength. Designed to hang in a window or between rooms although it could also be hung against a white wall.

Through the Tears of 6 Million 22.5" x 28.5" One of the most powerful locations we visited during our pilgrimage to Poland and Israel was the death camp, Majdanek. As we walked past this horrendous space, a gas chamber, I felt the beauty and spirit of all of the lost souls in the shades of blue-green on the far wall. Tears well up as I even think of this site.

Of Blessed Memory 25.5" x 28" Most Polish Jewish cemeteries were destroyed during World War II. Individual grave sites were unidentifiable and the land was littered with “puzzle” pieces of headstone. After the war, walls were built around the destroyed cemeteries incorporating the damaged headstones, honoring the spirit of those lost. This window is a multi layer creation. Many of the glass pieces are etched with the actual text from the walls. Random shapes and thick glass “grout” form the back

Never Forget 16" x 22.5" Virtually all that is left of extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau are distant chimneys from prisoner residence blocks and barbed wire. This window is layers of glass to create the effect of spirits inhabiting the desolate landscape. It is created in the copper foil method of stained glass creation. Three-dimensional barbed wire is created with copper core wire.

The Green Line Standing on the edge of Jerusalem, our guide explained how the borders were created in 1948. A line was drawn on the map with a green marker to designate the border between Israel and Jordan. As you stand at that border, the line is very evident today with the plush green environment on the Israeli side and the dry brown desert on the Jordanian side of the border.

Path to Peace 35" x 18" Nativ Ha’asara is a settlement literally on the border with Gaza. There we met a local ceramic artist who shared some of her experiences living in the shadow of the conflict. She invited us to participate in her peace project, decorating the gray security barriers with colorful ceramic tiles. These imposing gray cement walls are within feet of the border fence with Gaza.

Miriam's Cup 13" x 13" As we traveled through the Negev, our bus stopped near what looked like an outcropping of dried bushes. We got off the bus – in the middle of nowhere – and our guide led us to a set of stairs carved into the sandy rock behind the bushes, into a cistern. Carved out of the rock and desert sand, a cistern would have filled with water after the flooding rains. The two women represented in the panel sport beaded necklaces. Three additional 3-d women are hand knit with wire.

Negev Begonia In the Negev desert, one of our side trips included a wonderful winery literally growing out of the desert. In addition to grape vines and a variety of fruit trees, the winery was bright with these colorful flowers. We learned that these beautiful flowers grow in the Negev year round. They are called begonia, but very different from the begonia that grow in our gardens. In the U.S. we would call them bougainvillea.

Lake House - Tennessee 16” x 60” Created for friends who built a lovely summer home in the mountains of Tennessee, this transom window depicts their lake view with a tree and sailboat. Installed in an interior space above the doorway into the piano room.

Clear Texture Privacy Panel 18" x 18" Clear texture stained glass windows are a fabulous way to block a view into your home & offer you a sense of privacy. They are equally great at blocking a view that you’re not thrilled with – while still letting sunlight into your space. This window was created for a customer in Rittenhouse Square in Phila. As you can see, her view is of a brick wall. Nice color, but just brick. The window we created together adds an artistic flair to her brick view.

Interior Transom Panels 44″ x 19″ Two stained glass transom windows were created for a customer in California. We worked together with her decorator to design two windows that are the same design with color and glass placement differentiating them. The windows combine shades of teal and sea foam green with turquoise, white and gray.

Transom Window including House Number Created in 2019, this transom window is installed in a private home in Horsham, PA. The husband was enthralled by my clear texture work and the wife wanted to incorporate colors used throughout their home. The window incorporates both color and clear textures in an abstract design. The window also illuminates their house number when lit from inside. From the inside, that house number appears backwards but is appropriately legible from the street.

Chanukah Menorah My original Star of David Chanukah menorah crafted from a variety of clear texture and bevel glass. Stylized to include various sizes of clear circle bevels and circle motifs, this menorah is sturdy and designed for use during the holiday. It also makes a beautiful presentation as a wedding gift, Hanukkah gift, Bar or Bat Mitzvah gift, birthday or housewarming gift.

Clear Triptych Each 12" x 12" Three panels created in a variety of clear texture stained glass. Design continues from panel to panel.

Custom Room Divider Panel During a recent home project, we widened the doorway between our living room & dining room in order to allow light to flow through & give each room a more open feel, creating a space specifically for a stained glass window. The window adds a little separation between the rooms whole still allowing light to flow from the brighter dining room into the north facing living room. The exposed top & side edges are irregular in shape allowing the design to flow naturally

Circle Study 1 A study of circles. This hand crafted stained glass window panel combines a variety of clear texture stained glass to form this stained glass art window. While it can certainly hang in a windows, this type of panel can also be hung between two rooms to create a divider.

Tree of Life Various sizes and shapes of trees, all with colorful nuggets. You'll notice the raindrop sky background which highlights the leaf and nugget colors.

4 Seasons in 4 Panels 29" x 45" Each season is represented in it's own space, but in one tree continuing from panel to panel. This set is a quadriptych which can be hung as one or individually. Designed with 1" space between each panel.

4 Seasons Window Panel 26″ x 30″ This dramatic stained glass window features a large tree with leaves representing the four seasons against a swirl of blue on clear glass sky. Hand knit wire leaves are affixed and enhance the summer, fall and spring sections of this dramatic window.
