Red Entrelac Stained Glass Knit-inspired Jewelry box: knit stitches, gift for knitter

A great little gift for a red loving knitter! Knit textured bright red stained glass forms the lid of this unusual jewelry or trinket box. Three Squares of knit stitches in an Entrelac design are surrounded by deep red ripple stained glass. Mirror base and clear bevel sides encourage light to flow through the red lid.

The knit texture glass is fused using a method I created recently in my home workshop. The textured glass is cut to 1.5" squares and positioned in a diagonal basketweave pattern.

This box is created in the copper foil method of stained glass construction. It measures 3” x 4” x 1.5”. The solder lines are left in their natural silvery tone and polished to a shine. Rubber feet will keep your box from sliding or scratching your table top. A bit of silver tone chain holds the lid from falling backwards.
