Ombré knit stitch stained glass box: turquoise and lime stockinette stitch

Combining my love of Stained Glass and Knitting in one ultra useful box! The lid of this stained glass box is designed to represent stockinette stitch, the first stitch every knitter learns. A lovely box to store your stitch markers, measuring tape and other helpful odds and ends... even large enough for a pair of reading glasses!

The "yarn" is a combo of 4 fabulous bright stained glass designed to resemble ombre - from a lime green and white wispy glass to a blend of green and turquoise glass, then a turquoise wispy and finally a white wispy stained glass! The green and turquoise glass stands out against an edge of pale textured blue turquoise translucent glass. The sides are clear bevels and the base is mirror. The metal lines and edges have been left in their naturally silvery state and polished. Rubber bump-ons are adhered to the underside to stop the box from sliding on your table top.

Constructed in the copper foil method, this box measures 5" x 7" x 2". The hinge is an invisible rod and tube. The lid is held in place with a bit of silver tone chain. All of the edges have been smoothed and rounded... as is your knitting!
