The Hamsa is a symbol believed to protect you from harm against the evil forces. It is a protective symbol which people believe will protect them from harm against the evil eye and bring them goodness, abundance, fertility, luck and good health. We could all use a little protection right about now.

Many early cultures adopted the eye as an icon for their protection, others used Hamsa and so over time the most popular universal symbol became an eye placed in the palm of a hand. This lovely jewelry or trinket stained glass box, features a hamsa on the lid. The eye of the hamsa is a kiln formed lime green and turquoise glass nugget surrounded by shades of sky blue, teal and lime green stained glass. A wonderful clear texture stained glass surrounds the hamsa to form the lid of this 4" x 5" x 2 box. The "fingers" extend 1" beyond the edge of the box to form a handle. The base of the box is mirror which catches and reflects light through the lid. The sides of the box are also clear bevels.

This box would make an excellent birthday, housewarming, B'nai Mitzvah or bridal party gift.

Created using the copper foil method of stained glass, this box has a hidden hinge and a chain holding the lid open at the perfect angle. The edges of the lid are reinforced and softened, removing any sharp or hard edges. The solder is polished to its natural silverish finish. Rubber bump-ons are adhered to the base of the box to prevent it from sliding or scratching your furniture.
