Combining my love of Stained Glass and Knitting in one ultra useful box incorporating innovative glass texture! The lid of this stained glass box is designed to represent a ball of yarn and a set of (real) knitting needles set against a clear stockinette stitch texture glass. A lovely box to store your stitch markers, measuring tape and other helpful odds and ends... even large enough for a pair of reading glasses!

If your go-to colors are blue and green (like my mom...) this is the perfect knit trinket box!

The "yarn" is a combo of 4 different colors of stained glass designed to resemble ombre - from a cobalt blue to pale cobalt blue and white wispy glass, a deep green stained glass piece and a blend of green and blue as the center focal glass "yarn". The colors of glass stand out against the clear texture stockinette stitch glass that I created myself. Actual size #10 knitting needles are cut and soldered into place, extending off the edge of the box acting as a handle to open the lid.

The sides are clear bevels and the base is mirror encouraging light to reflect through the lid. The metal solder lines and edges have been left in their naturally silvery state and polished to a shine. Rubber bump-ons are adhered to the underside to stop the box from sliding on your table top.

Constructed in the copper foil method, this box measures 5" x 7" x 2". The hinge is an invisible rod and tube. The lid is held in place with a bit of silver tone chain. All of the edges have been smoothed and rounded... as is your knitting!
