I joke a lot about combining my love of Stained Glass with Knitting, or in this case, Crochet! I present to you this stained glass storage vase. A great vessel to store your fiber related things such as crochet hooks, knitting needles, weaving loom shuttles... even your reading glasses!

Created with a clear texture glass, the stained glass ball of yarn is created using a great shades of cobalt blue glass. A bright purple crochet hook is soldered right into the design. The vase measures 4" wide by 3.5" deep and approx. 5" tall. I've added a bright white rectangle of felt to the bottom to protect the glass from breaking should something fall into it. The felt is removable.

I work in the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder lines of this container are left in their natural silvery tone and polished to a shine. Rubber bump-ons are affixed to the base to keep the vase from sliding on your table top.
